Become a Guardian
New Dawn Poodles and Doodles is a small in-home program located in Placerville, CA. Because we focus on raising our dogs with care and intention, we partner with guardian families who can provide a loving, stable home for one of our future breeding dogs.
A guardian home becomes the full-time family for one of our chosen puppies. The dog lives with you, grows with your family, and enjoys everyday life as your companion. We retain ownership until the dog finishes its time in our program.

What a Guardian Home Is
A guardian home becomes the full-time family for one of our chosen puppies. The dog lives with you, grows with your family, and enjoys everyday life as your companion. We retain ownership until the dog finishes its time in our program.

Females: 3 to 5 litters

Males: 5 to 7 years
After that, we cover the cost of spaying or neutering and ownership transfers to you.
When the Dog Visits Us
Your dog will return for:
• Health testing
• Breeding appointments
• For females, whelping and raising litters
We also love hosting our guardian dogs when families go out of town.
What We Look For
Guardian families who believe in ethical breeding practices, thoughtful puppy raising, and teamwork.
Family Requirements
• Fenced yard
• Within one hour of Placerville, CA
• Staying local during the contract
• Indoor living only
• Food, grooming, training, routine vet care
• Pet insurance required
• Video call and possible home visit
• Strong communication skills
There is no fee to receive a guardian dog. We cover all breeding and health testing costs.
